Il rispetto dell’antico
Il verde intenso con le punte svettanti di alberi secolari circonda la villa padronale intorno a cui si articolano una serie di ambiti quali il chiostro, il frutteto, la cappella; il tutto avvolto in un’atmosfera di profonda quiete e cultura. La presenza di antiche statue, anfore e opere d’arte distribuite nel verde restituiscono un’ atmosfera ferma nel tempo a questa dimora così suggestiva e particolare. L’intervento di restauro eseguito ha riportato alla semplicità ed alla bellezza le forme originarie di questo complesso manufatto. Nel giardino si notano una serie di portali di accesso lasciati intatti nella loro forma ; tra cui l’ingresso al frutteto delimitato dall’antico cancello in ferro su cui sovrasta una particolare statuetta di "Madonna con Bambino", nonché l’adiacente accesso di ingresso ad un orto destinato alla zona "benessere" con piscina.
Il restauro fedele e rispettoso della preziosa eredità architettonica è stato accompagnato da un attento studio degli interni in cui sono stati accostati epoche e stili diversi.
La sfida progettuale di questo intervento è basata sulla volontà ben precisa di restituire bellezza e forma con finiture adeguate e scelte architettoniche opportune ad un complesso e particolare edificio storico. La fusione del piano nobile con il piano terra destinato originariamente a depositi e stalle è l’obiettivo principale dell’intervento eseguito. Il piano terra viene trasformato in abitazione destinandolo a zona giorno e cucina – pranzo. Il collegamento tra i due livelli avviene attraverso una scala in pietra ricavata nella muratura portante , cercando di sfruttare le arcate delle volte e le nicchie in muratura esistenti.
Respect for the ancient
The dense vegetation with the standing tops of centuries-old trees surrounds the country house around which different environments develop, such as the courtyard, the orchard and the chapel; everything is wrapped into a deep calm and cultural atmosphere. The presence of ancient statues, amphoras and works of art all placed in the greenery restore a timeless atmosphere to such suggestive and particular villa. The restoration intervention returned the original forms of the country house to their simplicity and beauty. In the garden it is possible to regard a series of entry gates still left to their original form; an example is the entry to the orchard marked by the ancient iron gate on which the peculiar statue of the "Madonna con Bambino" dominates; similarly, the adjoining entry to a vegetable garden is arranged as "wellness" area with a swimming pool.
The restoration is accurate and faithful to the precious architectural heritage and has been integrated by a precise study of the house’s interior which evokes a mix of different times and styles.
The design challenge of this work is based on the very clear intent of restoring beauty and shape with accurate finishing and architectural choices, in line with a complex and peculiar historical building. The fusion of the noble floor with the ground floor, originally designed for storage and stalls, is the main objective of the present intervention. The ground floor is turned into house, thus becoming living and dining room. The connection between the two levels is allowed by a stone stairway build out of a supporting stonework using either the vaults’s arcades or the existing stone recesses.
